Martial arts for kids 3 to 15

    Kids today live on screens.

They're less active, less confident, and less prepared for the real world than any generation before them.

If your child struggles with focus, shyness, or standing up for themselves, you're not alone.

    Want to do something active?

But most options feel boring, and there's no one to hold you accountable.

Something is missing, and another monthly membership you never use won't fix it.

What is Hybrid Martial Arts, and why does it work?

Four styles taught as one. Trained on their own, each one leaves a gap. Trained together, they cover everything.

Swipe to explore all disciplines

Discipline

Kickboxing

Striking with hands and feet, on pads and with partners.

Cardio, power, timing, accuracy.

It also builds the comfort of throwing a punch and taking one back. Every other style relies on that once the pressure goes up.

Discipline

Taekwondo

A Korean martial art built around kicks.

Fast ones, spinning ones, jumping ones, all linked into combinations.

Drilling them builds the kind of body control that makes everything else look easier.

Discipline

Krav Maga

Built for real situations, kept simple on purpose.

Students drill scenarios, not just techniques. How to read a room. How to stay calm. What to do when their head is racing.

Knowing the answer is the difference between freezing and moving.

Discipline

Grappling

Fighting up close and on the floor.

Clinching, takedowns, control, escapes. Most real fights end up here, and striking-only training leaves a hole.

It is also where size and strength matter least. A smaller student who knows the technique beats a bigger one who does not.

Changes you'll notice

Kids

  • An instructor crouching to guide a small child through a stance

    Homework without the fight

Focus built on the mat follows them home.

Parents often see better listening, longer attention and fewer reminders.

  • A row of children stood in a ready stance, watching the front of the class

    Friends from day one

Your child trains with students who cheer each other on.

Many close friendships start here, so they feel part of the group.

  • A young child with a hand raised, answering the instructor

    Confidence beyond the mat

They learn to look people in the eye, speak up and stand up for themselves.

That confidence stays with them after each session.

Adults

  • A wide view of the studio with pairs of students working across the mat

Keep up with your kids again

Build strength and stamina without staring at a treadmill.

Stairs feel easier, energy lasts longer and clothes fit better.

  • A girl in an orange belt holding a guard, focused on her partner

    Walk home without worry

Each session teaches practical ways to protect yourself or your family.

These are tested techniques that work under pressure.

  • An adult student laughing mid-session with the rest of the class behind her

    Friends who notice you're gone

This is an academy where people know your name.

Training partners become friends and notice when you miss a session.

The self-discipline is outstanding and knowing that she can protect herself, should the need arise, is very comforting.

Common questions

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Most students start with no martial arts experience at all.

Your first session covers the basics at a steady pace. An instructor will guide you and help you settle in.

What age groups do you cater for?

We run age-based sessions from age 3, plus adult sessions from age 16.

See our kids pages or schedule for the right group and current session times.

What if I just want to try it once before committing?

That is why we offer a free trial session. You can meet the instructors and step onto the mats before you decide.

It is a simple way to see if the academy feels right for you or your child.

Is it safe? I don't want to get hurt.

Like any contact sport it carries some risk. We manage it with close instruction and a steady start.

Striking is drilled on pads long before it is drilled at pace with a partner, and contact is matched to age and size.

Walking in the first time is the hard part. Tell us you are coming, and we'll handle the rest.
